Blue Ray Disc

Blu-ray Disc (official abbreviation BD) is an optical disc storage medium which has a better format than the format of the DVD.  The name Blu-ray Disc refers to the "blue laser" used to read the disc, which allows for six times more storage than on a DVD.

A current, single-sided, standard DVD can hold 4.7 GB (gigabytes) of Information. That's about the size of an average two-hour, standard-definition movie with a few extra features.

Blu-Ray is the next-generation digital video disc. It can record, store and play back high definition video and digital audio, as well as computer data.
